Accessibility Policy

The Aud is a fully wheelchair-accessible facility. Key features include:

• Barrier-free entrances

• Elevators to accessible areas

• Accessible washrooms

• Wide aisles and navigation pathways

• Designated accessibility seating for presentations and programming

• Ramps where required

If additional accessibility features are added for the event, they will be listed on this page once confirmed.

We aim to provide as many services as feasible, including:

Priority Entry & Line Accommodations

Attendees with mobility, sensory, cognitive, or medical needs may request priority accommodations for entry and line management.

Support Persons

Support persons assisting an attendee with disabilities may receive complimentary admission in accordance with venue and organizational policy.

Service Animals

Certified service animals are welcome. Emotional support animals are not permitted unless explicitly approved by venue policy.

Service animals must remain leashed, harnessed, or otherwise under control at all times.

Accessible Seating

Accessible seating will be available at all panels, presentations, and stage events. Staff and volunteers will assist in locating and reserving appropriate seating.

Rest Areas

Quiet spaces or low-stimulus rest areas will be provided when possible to support attendees with sensory needs or medical requirements.

Asking for Accommodations

Attendees may request accommodations before the event or at any time during the event. While we cannot guarantee all requests, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate whenever possible.

Signage & Information

Accessible routes, washrooms, and services will be clearly marked.
Digital maps will include accessibility indicators where possible.

Staff Training

All staff and volunteers will receive basic accessibility awareness and sensitivity training, including:

• How to appropriately assist attendees

• How to communicate respectfully

• When (and when not) to intervene

• How to escalate accommodation requests

To maintain a safe and inclusive event, all participants are expected to:

• Respect accessibility seating and priority areas

• Keep aisles, ramps, and pathways clear

• Avoid crowding or blocking mobility aids

• Follow staff instructions regarding accessibility protocols

Failure to comply may result in removal from the event.

Feedback regarding accessibility is encouraged and helps us improve future events.
