Frederick B. Owens is an American actor and voice actor, widely recognized as one of the most prolific bass voices in the industry. Behind the microphone, he has voiced hundreds of characters across animation and video games.
His voice credits include Leatherhead and Traximus in the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, as well as Gol D. Roger in the 4Kids Entertainment production of One Piece. Additional animation and voice work includes Funky Cops, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Shaman King, and Heavy Duty in G.I. Joe: Sigma 6, among many others.
On screen, Owens has appeared in films such as Hitch (alongside Will Smith and Eva Mendes), Trust the Man (with David Duchovny), and Storytelling (with John Goodman). His television credits include Law & Order: SVU, Ed, and The Education of Max Bickford, starring Richard Dreyfuss.
A veteran of the stage, Owens is an original cast member of the Broadway hit Smokey Joe’s Café, which earned a Grammy Award for Best Broadway Album. His Broadway credits also include Jesus Christ Superstar and Man of La Mancha.
