KW Comic Con is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for all attendees, exhibitors, volunteers, and guests. These rules ensure everyone can enjoy the event. By entering the event, you agree to follow all policies outlined below, as well as all venue rules and applicable laws.
KW Comic Con is a family-friendly event; all behavior should reflect this.
Attendees, staff, exhibitors, and guests are expected to treat each other with respect and courtesy.
Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the event without refund.
Prohibited behaviors include:
Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind
Offensive or inappropriate attire or signage
Physical altercations or threats
Vandalism or damage to property
KW Comic Con maintains a zero-tolerance approach to harassment and discrimination.
All attendees, volunteers, exhibitors, and guests are expected to:
Treat everyone with respect, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, religion, ability, or other personal characteristics
Refrain from verbal or physical harassment, including stalking, inappropriate touching, or offensive language
Respect personal space and consent — “Cosplay is not consent” applies at all times
Follow staff instructions and signage
Reporting Incidents:
If you experience or witness harassment, please report it immediately to Event Staff or Security
Reports will be handled confidentially and promptly
Violations may result in removal from the event without refund, or banning from future events

Badges or wristbands must be visible at all times.
Lost or damaged badges may require repurchase.
Tickets and badges are non-transferable unless explicitly allowed by event staff.
Re-entry may be restricted depending on the situation; staff decisions are final.
Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Strollers are allowed but may be restricted in crowded areas.
Parents/guardians are responsible for the behavior and safety of their children.
KW Comic Con strives to provide accessible facilities for all attendees.

Staff are available to assist attendees with mobility, sensory, or other accessibility needs.
Real or functional weapons, fireworks, explosives, or harmful chemicals
Concealed or cane swords, metal blades, or firearms
Alcohol, illegal substances, or items prohibited by law
Any item deemed unsafe by event staff
Please follow staff instructions and signage.
No line-cutting or saving spots for others.
Maintain clear aisles and exits for safety.
Be mindful of photography etiquette and personal space when taking photos of cosplayers or guests.
Follow all safety instructions from staff and security.
In case of emergency, exits and evacuation procedures will be clearly marked.
First aid stations are available throughout the venue.
Lost items should be reported to the Information Desk.
KW Comic Con is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
Staff and security may remove anyone violating rules without refund.
Decisions by event staff are final.
Repeated violations may result in bans from future events.
FandomForge Collective (the “Organization”) is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all persons participating in its events, programs, meetings, and online platforms, including but not limited to KW Comic Con. This Policy establishes the standards of conduct expected of all individuals associated with the Organization and prohibits any form of harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or abusive behavior.
This Policy applies to all persons involved in the activities of FandomForge Collective, including but not limited to:
Members of the Board of Directors and Officers;
Employees, contractors, and volunteers;
Vendors, exhibitors, artists, sponsors, and guests;
Attendees and participants at any event organized, sponsored, or managed by the Organization; and
Individuals engaging with the Organization through electronic or digital means.
This Policy applies to conduct occurring in person, online, or in any forum where individuals represent or participate in activities under the FandomForge Collective name.
All individuals covered by this Policy are expected to:
Conduct themselves in a professional, courteous, and lawful manner.
Respect the rights, safety, and dignity of all persons.
Comply with all applicable laws, venue policies, and event regulations.
Follow the directions of authorized event staff and volunteers.
Use language and behavior that promote a positive, inclusive environment.
Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
Harassment, intimidation, or threats, whether verbal, physical, or written;
Discriminatory comments or behavior based on race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, ethnic background, citizenship, creed, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, or any other protected ground under the Ontario Human Rights Code;
Unwelcome sexual advances, physical contact, or suggestive comments;
Physical violence, assault, or unwanted touching;
Disruption of events, meetings, or activities;
Retaliation against any individual who reports or participates in the resolution of a complaint under this Policy.
Individuals who experience or witness conduct that violates this Policy are encouraged to report the incident to:
A member of the Event Management Team,
A designated FandomForge Collective Director or Officer, or
Via email to the official organizational contact at publicsafety@kwcomiccon.ca.
Reports may be made verbally or in writing and will be handled confidentially to the extent possible. The Organization reserves the right to refer any matter involving potential criminal activity to the appropriate law-enforcement authorities.
The Organization takes all reports of misconduct seriously.
Violations of this Policy may result in immediate removal from the event premises, revocation of event credentials, and/or a ban from future events organized by FandomForge Collective.
The Organization reserves the right to deny admission or revoke participation privileges at its sole discretion to maintain the safety and integrity of its events.
Retaliation against any individual who makes a good-faith report of misconduct or participates in an investigation is strictly prohibited and constitutes a violation of this Policy.
This Policy shall be interpreted in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and the Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010 (Ontario).
The Board of Directors shall review this Policy annually or as necessary to ensure continued compliance with applicable law and best practices in event management and community safety.
All directors, officers, employees, volunteers, vendors, exhibitors, guests, and contractors are expected to review this Policy and acknowledge their understanding and agreement to comply with its terms as a condition of participation in the activities of FandomForge Collective.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, certain items are strictly prohibited inside the venue. Props and other items may also be inspected and peace-bonded according to the Props & Weapons Policy.
Do not bring real weapons or dangerous items.
Items not explicitly allowed should be assumed prohibited until checked by Event Staff.
Compliance with staff directions regarding item inspections is mandatory.
Real or functional firearms, knives, swords, or daggers
Cane swords, switchblades, brass knuckles, or other concealed weapons
Explosives, fireworks, flares, or pyrotechnics
Stun guns, tasers, pepper spray, or other self-defense weapons
Flammable liquids or chemicals
Toxic or corrosive substances
Illegal substances
Alcohol (except if served by authorized vendors in permitted areas)
Animals (except approved service animals)
Large or obstructive equipment that blocks aisles or emergency exits
Any item deemed unsafe, disruptive, or prohibited by Event Staff
Bags and items may be inspected at entry.
Prohibited items will be confiscated or refused entry.
Event Staff decisions regarding prohibited items are final.
